Getting started

Take a side

A side is one call on the RiseRounds contract, take(day, side, amount), after an approve of USDG.

From the site

  1. Open today's round.
  2. Pick Yes or No and an amount from 0.1 USDG.
  3. Connect a browser wallet. The site adds Robinhood Chain (chain id 4663) if your wallet does not have it yet.
  4. Confirm two transactions: the USDG approval (skipped when the allowance already covers the side), then the side itself. Gas is paid in ETH.
  5. The side appears in the pot as soon as the block is in, usually within a second or two.
1 USDG.approve(RiseRounds, 100000)2 RiseRounds.take(20261105, 0, 100000) 0.1 USDG on YES sender and gas payer: your wallet, gas in ETH
What your wallet signs: two calls, in order.

The rules

RuleValue
Minimum side0.1 USDG (100000 base units); a smaller take() reverts
Side0 for YES, 1 for NO. UP and DOWN are accepted by the API and the SDK and mapped to YES and NO.
Lock05:55 UTC on the round's day, checked by the contract against the block timestamp
Late or under the minimumThe transaction reverts and no USDG moves
More than one sideAllowed, on either side; each adds to your stake on that side

Pot odds and HyperCore's price

The round page shows two numbers side by side: the share of the pot on Yes, and HyperCore's live Yes price for the same outcome (the mid of coin #<10 × outcome>). When the two disagree, one side of the pot pays more than HyperCore's price implies. The page calls that gap the moment.
